Jason Coluccio grew up in Adelaide’s western suburbs and was educated at Mater Christi Primary School and St Michael’s College. Before pursuing law, he managed a family business and built a career in sales, experience that gave him a grounding in commercial thinking and client service that continues to shape how he practises.
Jason graduated in law in 2011 and was admitted to the Supreme Courts of both South Australia and the Northern Territory. His early legal career covered a broad range of areas, including family law, criminal law, commercial litigation, and estate planning, before he co-founded Welden & Coluccio Lawyers with Greg Welden in 2014.
Today Jason works with clients across all areas of estate planning and estate administration, including complex asset protection strategies, business succession planning, probate, inheritance claims, and probate disputes. He also assists clients facing mortgage repossession and continues to handle criminal matters on a professional and confidential basis.
In my professional practice, I am deeply anchored in the representation of my clients, steadfast in the pursuit of justice even as I navigate a system that seldom grants it. I operate within these institutional constraints not as a passive participant, but as a dedicated advocate, balancing the weight of my clients’ needs against the friction of a legal landscape that often obscures the very fairness it is meant to uphold.
Outside the office, Jason is a lifelong Port Adelaide supporter and a self-described sport fanatic, with a particular enthusiasm for following sport internationally.
Client Testimony
“I cannot speak highly enough of Welden & Collucio Lawyers and the outstanding support they provided during an incredibly difficult period in my life. The whole team was exceptional. From their admin staff to their barristers. They all demonstrated a rare combination of professional excellence and genuine compassion. I am particularly thankful to Jason, Maddalena, and Joanna, who each played an invaluable role in helping me through a time when I was scared and uncertain. Their kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment gave me confidence when I needed it most. They approached every step of my case with dedication and integrity and ensured the best possible outcome. This firm did not simply handle my legal matters — they stood beside me with heart. I am truly grateful and would recommend them without reservation.” – Herick C
“Sometimes Lawyers need Lawyers. Not often have I needed to engage separate legal representation to advise me independent in relation to my obligations to a file or client. I appreciated and respected the professionalism, promptness and courtesy extended by Welden & Coluccio, and particularly Jason and his support staff. Their promptness, attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly are a credit to the culture of the Firm, and more particularly, the advice and results achieved have been exceptional. I have no hesitation in giving this testimonial and recommendation to the Firm.” – Peter W
